I'm Kate Grace Piper. I'm an avid reader. I love to dance, play guitar, play volleyball and hang out with my friends. I was diagnosed with severe scoliosis about 16 months ago and am preparing to have surgery to correct the curve in my spine. This is my story.

Congratulations, keep up the progress. I'm glad you have such a great support system of family and friends. I hope you will enjoy the new shape of your back and as someone else posted earlier the scar will become lighter with time and you will not even notice it. Just remember that if anyone does notice and mentions it, you can tell them it is a testament to your strength and courage.
